Yaeger Law is proud to share that Laura Yaeger has been honored by the American Association for Justice and recognized for her outstanding contribution to the civil justice system. The American Association of Justice (“AAJ”) celebrated Laura’s achievements during the annual convention in Las Vegas. On July 13, 2021, Laura was awarded the Harry Philo Award.

The award’s namesake, Harry Philo, served as President of the American Association for Justice from 1980 – 1981. He was a courageous leader in the struggle for equal justice and was inducted into the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame in 2018. In 1993, Roxanne Conlin, the President of AAJ, deemed Harry the “Conscience” of trial lawyers and awarded him the first ever Harry Philo Award. Laura Yaeger is humbled to be recognized as a trial lawyer following in Harry Philo’s footsteps.

The mission of AAJ is to promote a fair and effective justice system. It works to safeguard victims’ rights, including the right to trial by jury. With members worldwide, and a network of U.S. and Canadian affiliates involved in diverse areas of trial advocacy, the organization provides lawyers with the information and professional assistance needed to serve clients successfully and protect the democratic values inherent in the civil justice system.

Laura Yaeger’s contributions to the American Association for Justice include chair of the Women Trial Lawyer Caucus; co-founder and past chair of the AAJ’s LGBT Caucus; is a Board of Governor; and is a member of the Executive Committee. She is also a graduate of AAJ’s Leadership Academy and is a member of several AAJ Committees and Litigation Groups.

Yaeger Law is proud to support Laura and the American Association of Justice.
